I recently saw a young man who came to see me because his place of future employment, a large health system was requiring him to complete the 1º series of his COVID19 vaccination. He was concerned because he had chest pain after his first mRNA vaccine and was uncomfortable with the risks of a second mRNA dose. He attempted to get a Johnson and Johnson vaccine and was told by pharmacists he was not allowed to mix and match this particular vaccine as he had already received an mRNA dose. With no other option he came to ask me whether I thought a vaccine exemption was reasonable in his case. He already had a family medicine physician sign an exemption that had been denied by his future employer’s vaccine exemption committee. The young man works on the “back end” of the health system remotely from home and he has no patient contact. The entire process has caused him to lose his health insurance from his former employer, and he was now paying out of pocket for an expensive COBRA health insurance plan. What follows is my letter to the vaccine exemption review committee regarding his case. (Published with permission, only the relevant names have been changed/redacted)
This is great Anish. How do we get back to a time when the doctor can simply write “this vaccine in contraindicated in this patient due to a medical condition…and that info is protected and private.”
I’m reaching a point where I don’t want to practice in this environment anymore…even as a DPC doc. The US medical system is harming people.
I would not "beg" for exemption any longer. You could start by checking antibodies and if he has them, then he is immune by previous infection. End of discussion.
Next the vaccinations give no long lasting protection for transmission, so there is no excuse to impose such a vaccine on anybody any longer for the protection of "others".
You can also get into the weeds about the fact that he is a young man, at low risk for serious infection himself and he personally has also had a significant adverse reaction to the previous vaccine... Meaning that this mandate puts his health at further risk.
Most importantly, he has a God given right for domain over his own body. If that isn't enough, start the lawsuits.
"Rights" are only meaningful if they are respected, or can be enforced. Remember that the North Koreans also have rights GUARANTEED under its constitution; including the right to a vacation each year. I learned of that from a remark by Justice Gorsuch.
People need to realise that the world "democratic" institutions and the media have compromised long ago.
Unless we stick together - sufficient critical mass - they will "hang" us separately. And they have been separately us precisely in order to divide and conquer us for a long time now.
And the irony is those who supported "them" were among the first ones to suffer! For example, those volunteers and "the science followers" who were the first ones who whacked, or worse.

my medical colleagues are, for the most part, not very smart. critical thinking is rare. all they can do unfortunately is look at guidelines, and we all know what they say about Covid.

There are also other ways to receive 'health care' - co-op ministries is what I use for health coverage. COBRA is part of the broken/sick care system ...

This gene therapy isn’t even effective! Nor is it safe!!! More people have expired due to getting this injected to their bodies vs standing up for themselves. I will continue to stand up for myself and my family.

Hire an attorney to send a "Cease and Desist" letter to the institution for $200.
